THE University of Perpetual Help
pep squad came up with a brilliant performance on Wednesday to
retain the cheerdancing title in the 83rd National Collegiate
Athletic Association at the jampacked Araneta Coliseum.
Perpetual’s talented
cheerdancers garnered 209 points to win the title for the third
straight time since 2004.
The Mapua Cheering Cardinals
impressed not only the judges but also the audience with their
acrobatic routines and impressive “M formation” to finish second
with 208 points.
The Letran Cheering squad, which
displayed its own version of the 26K girls with briefcases, placed
third with 201 points.
San Sebastian College was fourth,
followed by host Jose Rizal University, College of Saint Benilde and
San Beda College.
Perpetual received P75,000 as
champion while Mapua got P45,000 and Letran P35,000.
