Six years after the al-Qaeda’s
9/11 attack, which killed more than 3,000 and caused the United
States to unleash its global war on terrorism, the Philippines, a
staunch ally of Washington, continues to fight the Abu Sayyaf, a
small terror group with ties to Osama bin Laden’s network.
The threat from bin Laden and his
men and sympathizers is still mounting all over the world.
