SEVEN boxers, led by two-time Olympian Harry Tañamor, left
Wednesday for the Czech Republic to compete in the star-studded
Grand Prix Ostrava.
The other members of the
Smart-sponsored RP team are 2006 Doha Asian Games gold medalists
Joan Tipon, Violito Payla, Charly Suarez, Genebert Basadre, Delfin
Boholst and Wilfredo Lopez.

Prix Ostrava is a world-class tournament that will sharpen our
boxers as we prepare for the World Championships,’’ said Manny
Lopez, president of the Amateur Boxing Association of the
Philippines.
Also in the team PSC are former
ABAP president and PSC chairman Gemiliano Lopez Jr. and coaches
Patricio Gaspi and Ronald Chavez.
