THE Awit Awards is the first award-giving body in the
Philippines that recognizes the excellence and ingenuity of Filipino
music. On its 20th year, the Philippine Association of the Record
Industry (PARI), in partnership with Wishcraft Inc.—the official
production and events’ team of the annual event—staged the
prestigious awards night at the NBC Tent.
Bands, soloists, composers and
music makers from various labels graced the event and a night of
spectacular performances that truly made the 20th Awit Awards a
success. The following sponsors, Xtreme Magic Sing for the Awit
trophies, Mozcom Inc. for providing the software program used for
uploading, STI for providing computers and printers during the
prescreening and judging of the entries, Xurpas as the official
content provider and Isla Lipana and Co. as Awit Awards’ official
auditing firm, all helped make the event a resounding success.
Together they all worked hard for
the camaraderie and commitment in creating, building and developing
Filipino music through the years.
