Red Lions retain NCAA title

SAN BEDA COLLEGE banked on the explosive performances of pro-bound Yousif Aljamal and Ogie Menor in the fourth quarter to sweep the National Collegiate Athletic Association seniors basketball best-of-three title series via a 76-64 win over Letran College Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Aljamal had 24 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks while Menor topscored with 26 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter, as the Red Lions scored their second back-to-back titles since 1977 and 1978.
