ILOG JRules successfully meets stringent set of
criteria for good
design, development and implementation
.
ILOG today announced that its ILOG JRules, a
key offering in
ILOG's business rule management system (BRMS) product line, has
received "Designed for EMC Documentum" accreditation
status. The
Designed for EMC Documentum designation demonstrates that ILOG
JRules
has successfully met a stringent set of criteria for good design,
development and implementation. Further, the designation ensures
that
JRules applications developed for the EMC Documentum enterprise
content management (ECM) platform require minimal implementation and
configuration.
Using ILOG JRules' standards-based
"Transparent Decision Service"
integration, Documentum customers can leverage ILOG's business rules
management system to deploy and apply policy changes. Leveraging
ILOG's
award-winning JRules, business users can make policy changes within
any
business process management (BPM) application without any IT
involvement. The end result is faster business agility in response
to
customer demands, regulations and competitive threats.
Customers pursuing enterprise
service-oriented architecture (SOA)
strategies achieve additional benefits as a result of using a BRMS
because the system provides complete control over changes in
decision
services, reducing operational cost and improving transparency. ILOG
JRules allows users to automatically deploy rule-based Web services.
"With competitive pressures mounting,
organizations need to find new
ways to deliver process efficiency and enhance their business
response
times", said Desmond Delandro, vice president of strategic
alliances of
ILOG. "We are pleased to be teaming with EMC, and look forward
to
bringing more high-value offerings to market for the benefit of our
mutual customers."
"By providing ILOG JRules as a packaged
offering designed for
integration with the EMC Documentum platform, ILOG is enabling joint
customers to unlock the value of their business process management
applications and benefit from a rapid deployment of decision
services
in an SOA environment", said EMC's Randy Ziegler, director,
developer
programs. "The offering's status as Designed for EMC-accredited
demonstrates ILOG's commitment to the Documentum platform and the
quality and value of its offering. Partners such as ILOG build
solutions on the Documentum platform to enable customers to leverage
the robust capabilities of EMC Documentum for managing their most
critical and strategic information."
The Designed for EMC Program helps ISVs,
VSPs and SIs target, design,
develop and go to market with successful offerings based on the EMC
Documentum platform. As a member, partners can submit their offering
to
be considered for Designed for EMC Documentum accreditation, which
ensures that the offering has met all requirements to be certified
on
the EMC platform. To learn more about JRules and the Designed for
