IP e-Games, the revolutionary company behind the free-to-play
system, and publisher of MMORPGs, RAN Online, Supreme Destiny and
Granado Espada and online casual games O2Jam and Audition Dance
Battle, will celebrate its second year anniversary with a huge
gaming event geared towards gathering their players across all
titles.
Dubbed as Domination II, e-Games puts all the
stops to bring about the most explosive and electrifying gaming
event of 2008, flying in gamers from Visayas and Mindanao to compete
with fellow gaming fanatics in Metro Manila. Domination II will be
an entire day of action-packed tournaments, exhilarating live
activities and chock-full of great prizes and freebies to be given
away, to be held on April 6 at Function Halls 3 and 4 of the SMX
Convention Center in Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
Among the anticipated happenings in this event
is the announcement of its newest title, CABAL Online, this year's
next biggest MMORPG. This New-Age, fantasy game that made a huge hit
in Asia and America has finally arrived in the local shores through
e-Games. Players will be given the opportunity to experience the
spectacular gameplay and other awesome features in this sought-after
online game during the event.
IP e-Games VP for Marketing Ed Pasion expresses
his excitement for Domination II, saying gamers are sure to enjoy
the activities in store for them, as well as several highly
anticipated updates from their favorite e-Games titles.
"We will show everyone why e-Games remains
to be the undisputed no.1 gaming company in the country today.
Domination II will even be a lot bigger and better than last year's
celebration. As always, we want to thank all our gamers who have
always supported us and have enjoyed playing our games since the
beginning," said Pasion.
Domination II will also highlight I-Play Inc.,
the joint venture by IP e-Games and GMA New Media Inc. (GMA-NMI),
the digital media arm of GMA Network Inc. The gaming subsidiary will
unveil fresh content for online casual game titles – O2Jam
and Audition Dance Battle.
The previous year brought several milestones to
the company, among which include the addition of Hakkyu Kim's
triple-A MMORPG, Granado Espada. E-Games has likewise expanded to
become "bigger, better and bolder", which then became a
catalyst to stage a series of road shows nationwide called e-Games
Evolution. Among these accomplishments, e-Games titles have
continued to grow and become more dynamic, a fact greatly owed to
its active community base.
This is precisely what Domination II is all
about: its community. As a way of thanking its gamers for their
continued support, Domination II will serve as the culminating
affair for in-game tournaments held in all e-Games Evolution road
shows. Winners from each event leg will battle it out in Domination
II, with awesome in-game items and other great prizes at stake.
Each game title will have their own impressive
space, designed to personify the games' distinct look and feel. Two
hundred top-of-the-line PCs - the biggest computer set-up to be done
in the country today - will also be made available not just for the
tournaments but for freeplay as well.
Recognition for e-Gamers who have contributed to
the community will likewise take place in this event. Guilds will
have their own space, where they can meet up with their friends and
fellow gamers to enjoy the booth activities per game.
Gamers and non-gamers alike are sure to enjoy
the exciting mini-events per game. For instance, RANatics' physical
strength will be put to the test in the Big Boy Maso challenge, SD
Warriors will take their chances of surviving a ride atop a
makeshift dragon, GE players will engage in a heated duel contest,
Audistas will showcase their dance prowess, while O2Jammers will
belt out tunes in the live contests.
Domination II goes even beyond the staple of
in-game tournaments as it promises a dazzling parade of cosplayers
garbed in their favorite e-Games character. An on-the-spot Costume
Building Contest, a first in the Philippines, will be the highlight
of the cosplay event, wherein participants' creative abilities will
be challenged to create an e-Games costume from scratch. The winning
team will take home PhP 10,000 worth of prizes.
Attendees will also be entertained with
performances from the country's top bands and celebrities such as
Sugarfree, Rivermaya, Imago, Mocha, Francis Magalona, Iwa Motto and
other GMA Artists.
Free bus rides will also be available for event
participants, with pick-up points in Data Click iCafe in Malabon,
Marikina Riverbanks, Metropolis Mall in Alabang, and SM Fairview.
The event is presented by Globe and co-presented
by Pepsi, Extra Joss and Redfox Technologies, together with partners
Yoshinoya, Magic 89.9, philstar.com, Rudy Project, and Sterling
Paper Products, and with the special participation of Cosplay.ph and
Team Kyoudo.
