THE country’s total value of domestic trade in the second quarter
of last year went down by nearly a fifth, the National Statistics
Office said.
The NSO said the total value of domestic trade

year from the P79.68 billion in the same period in 2006.
“The commodities were traded mostly through
water, comprising 99.6 percent in the second quarter of 2006 and
99.9 percent in the second quarters of 2007,” the NSO said.

billion; manufactured goods classified chiefly by material, P10.06
billion; animal and vegetable oils, fats and waxes with P624.79

transactions amounting to P9.10 billion; Central Luzon, P9.07
billion; Western Visayas, P4.95 billion; Eastern Visayas, P4.63
