IPVG Corp. is set to expand to China and India this year, a company
executive said Friday.
In a briefing, Roger Stone, IPVG deputy
chairman, said the venture into China and India is aimed at
establishing the company’s global presence.
“Geography really matters to [our] business.
[We] definitely go where the clients are,” Stone said.
IPVG recently acquired Prolexic Technologies
Inc., a network services firm, for $10.5 million, and US-based
Interactive Teleservices Corp. (Influent) for $14 million.
Prolexic is a managed security service provider.
Its acquisition represents IPVG’s foray into the intellectual
property domain.
“Prolexic will also be brought to India and
China, since [our] clienteles [there] want this kind of service,”
Stone said.
He said that the company plans to expand its
business process outsourcing (BPO) business through IP Contact
Center Outsourcing Inc. (IPCCO). Hong Kong’s PCCW Teleservices has
made IPCCO its exclusive partner to service the English speaking
requirements of its clients
“For this year, [we] expect the bulk of [our]
revenues to come mainly from [our] BPO centers or about 60 percent
of [our] total revenue,” Stone said.
The company also announced P923 million in
consolidated revenues for last year, a jump from the previous
year’s P277 million.
