The Manila Police District (MPD) said Friday that they are willing
to give a P150,000 bounty on anyone who can provide information on
the whereabouts of the man last seen with former Commission on
Elections Law Department Chief Alioden Dalaig at the closed circuit
TV (CCTV) of the Manila Pavillion on November 10 last year.
MPD-homicide Chief Dominador Arevalo told The
Manila Times that they are giving out the said reward because they
believe that the man in the video is vital to solving the Dalaig
murder case.
“The man in the CCTV could not be the gunman,
because the man was still inside the establishment when Dalaig was
shot,” he said.
He also said that because of the numerous
witnesses, the case would take a long time to resolve.
Arevalo said they are now waiting for the woman
who identified the man in the CCTV to give her statement to the
police.
Earlier, the woman overheard the phone
conversation between the man in the CCTV, using a different dialect,
about Dalaig.
After the conversation, she borrowed the man’s
mobile phone and saw the text message, “Si Dalaig nasa Pavillion
pa. Gusto ko tapos na ang trabaho next week (Dalaig is still at the
PAvillion. I want the job done by next week)”.
