FORMER World Masters champion Biboy Rivera tallied
771 points to take the lead in the men’s open division of the 2008
Tenpin Bowlers Association of Makati (TBAM)-Prima Pasta National
Open on Saturday at the Green Valley Country Club in Pasig City.
Rivera, also a medalist in the
2007 Thailand SEA Games, had a series of 265, 254 and 252 to take a
49-pin lead over fellow national Chester King who had series of 250,
245 and 227. Kenneth Chua was third with 673 (179-268-226).
King’s 434 and Rivera’s 431
also helped TBAM take the lead in the team event with 1268 pinfalls.
Teammate Vlad Tuazon submitted 403.
In the men’s Class A, Mar Serac
tallied 714 followed by Danny Tuazon of PBA (671) and Jerht Santos,
also of TBAM, who posted 648.
In the singles mixed ladies
class, Liza Vicente of TBAM rolled 220, 186 and 215 for a total of
690 pinfalls. Minia Judan of SLETBA placed second with 660
(190-172-178) followed by Marissa Campita of PBA, who tallied 650
(174-175-208).
