Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard Philippines are working together to
ensure their customers are equipped for a smooth transition to
Microsoft’s new products.
As Microsoft prepares for the grand launching of
its latest flagship server and application developments
products—Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio
2008—here in the Philippines the software giant has established
collaboration with HP in testing how the latest versions of
applications work in various IT environments and situations.
With this, HP, one of Microsoft’s hardware
partners for the launch of the three new MS products, has introduced
an extensive portfolio of “Microsoft-ready” hardware, software,
services, and solutions that will enable customers to implement a
seamless transition to the upcoming Windows Server 2008.
Windows Server 2008, the latest server operating
system, provides security and reliability that will help IT
professionals maximizing control over their infrastructure while
providing availability and management capabilities.
Nicky Eala, business group director for server
and tools at Microsoft Philippines, said the partnership with HP
would ensure that their early adopters and customers have the right
hardware tools that will optimize the way their customers use the
new technology.
HP has expressed its support to the upcoming
products from Redmond through interoperability with its hardware and
software offerings, such as HP Integrity, HP ProLiant, and HP
BladeSystem servers, HP StorageWorks products, and HP Software.
Microsoft’s new line-up of products will be
publicly launched this week at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay
City.
