Finally, a compilation album of rock guitarists

notable guitarists in the local scene. These include: Francis Reyes
of The Dawn; Mike Elgar of Rivermaya; Mong Alcaraz of Sandwich and
Chicosci; Hale’s Roll Martinez; Rocksteddy’s Juven Pelingon;
Slapshocks’ Lean Ansing; Pupil’s Yan Yuzon; Jeff de Castro
session player for Kitchie Nadal,; Ian Umali of POT and Jack Rufo of
Neocolors; RJ Jacinto, Jun Lopito, Noli Aurillo and lone woman
Barbie Almalbis.
The album was recently launched
April 3 at Tiendesitas, Pasig City that featured a sale of guitars
pre-owned by rock legends as well as free guitar lessons with the
album’s artists.
Already receiving airplay, the
album represents a wide variety genres and techniques: from heavy
metal shredding to mellow jazz improvisation to classic Pinoy
blues-rock.
