MAGNOLIA PUREWATER-backed Andres Calma of AUTS Racing gears up for
back-to-back wins in the second leg of the 2008 Shell Helix Karting
Super Series this weekend at the Batangas Racing Circuit.
Calma, who clocked 15:49.340 at the series
kickoff and led a 1-2-3 finish for AUTS racing in the Formula SL
Expert category, has the opportunity to log two-in-a-row, a rare
feat in local karting.
“That’s his motivation, but we know that
it’s more important for us to perform well and consistently
throughout the entire series. This way, we will have a bigger shot
at being over-all champion,” said PBA legend Hector Calma,
Andres’ father.
The 12-year-old racer faces stiff competition,
even from teammates Bobby Domingo and Marlon Stockinger, also
carrying the Magnolia Purewater banner.
