TEAM Goddard’s Frederic Vervisch of Belgium topped the six-race
final of the Castrol Philippines Asian F3 Grand Prix at the Batangas
Racing Circuit last weekend.
Brazilian Rafael Suzuki, also of Team Goddard,
won the first race over Briton Matt Howson with Vervisch in third
place.
But disaster struck Team Goddard in next race
when the two cars stalled on the grid, allowing Howson to win.
Vervisch then swept the last four races to win
the series supported by Castrol Philippines, Pagcor, Toyota Motor
Philippines, Lima City Hotel and Stoplight TV.
Series rookie Ed Pead of England twice made the
podium while Peter Kalpakiotis ruled the Promotions Class.
Vervisch will now test-drive a Force India F1
car as his prize for winning the series. The races will air on
Stoplight TV on Studio 23 races over the next few weeks.
