Loyola booters triumph

 
LOYOLA Agila of Ateneo de Manila defeated Alabang Grins, 2-1, on April 6 to remain unbeaten after three games in the Puma United Football League at the Ateneo football field.

Mark Villon’s goal at the seventh minute put the Agilas on top before Gean Gepaya tied the score following a goal at the 21st minute. But Villon came back strong with another goal at the 34th minute to assured the win.

In the other game, Diliman stamped its class over Mama Africa, 4-1, to stay at second place with three wins and one loss.

The Diliman booters led 2-0 in the first half courtesy of Ariel Zerrudo and Raymund Juarez.

Mama Africa retaliate in the second half with a much-needed goal by Messan Komeja. But Reynald Britannia scored at the 62nd minute and Zerrudo had another goal at the 90th minute to assure Diliman’s victory.

The tournament will run until June 1 at the Nomads Club in Merville, Parañaque and Ateneo High School Football Field.
