THE double-digit rise in both exports and foreign direct investments (FDI) at the start of the year is welcome news.

According to the National Statistics Office (NSO), February shipments of electronics, the country’s main dollar-earning commodity, sustained its growth from January. Similarly, sales to the US, the Philippines’ largest market, rebounded, posting a double-digit increase year-on-year.
