Malaysia threatens to
pull out truce observers

The MILF says the exit of the International Monitoring Team would have a negative effect on the peace process

 
SULU ISLANDS: The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) urged Manila on Monday to resume the stalled peace talks as Malaysia threatened anew to pull out all its ceasefire observers deployed in Mindanao, should there be no progress in the seven-year old negotiations.

Kuala Lumpur is brokering the peace talks in an effort to bring an end to the more than three decades of bloody insurgency in the war torn, but mineral-rich Mindanao region
