Ateneo, Lyceum spikers
prime up for quarters

ATENEO de Manila University and Lyceum of the Philippines try to make the most of the remaining games in the elims to toughen up for the quarters as action in the Shakey’s V-League Season 5 resumes Sunday at The Arena in San Juan.

The Lady Eagles, sporting a 3-5 win-loss record, meet the winless St. Benilde Blazers at 2 p.m.

The Lady Pirates, on the other hand, are expected to face a tough challenge against the San Sebastian College (SSC) Lady Stags in their 12 noon encounter.

Adamson University (8-0) and the Lady Stags (7-1) have earned outright semis berths in this league organized by Sports Vision and supported by Active White skin whitening products, Mail and More, ICT call center, Mikasa and Accel.

SSC, already boasting of local talents, is again tapping the services of former Thai import Jaroensri Bualee.

The SSC-Lyceum match will be aired on NBN-4 starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday while the Ateneo-St. Benilde duel will be shown on Monday. For details and updates, log on to www.v-league.ph.
