Intel provides big market
with smaller PC hardware

Bangkok: Intel, the biggest provider of computer processors, is definitely going small. The chip company announcedon Thursday new motherboards for small form factor computers called Nettops, in line with the upcoming launched of Atom, Intel’s latest and smallest CPU to cater the growing demand for ultra-portable mobile Internet devices.

“In terms of trends, the driver for Intel, and in fact, the industry, has been the Internet, it has been that way for a decade, and it continues to be that way,” said Navin Shenoy, vice president for sales and marketing group and general manager for Asia Pacific region at Intel, in a media conference for the annual APAC channel conference in Thailand on April 26.
