Rockers prove their commitment to the environment beyond the stage

Saving the Earth takes more than one day. Environmentalism is more than just about slogans and songs. At the Earth Day Jam 2008 on April 25 in Tomas Morato Street, Quezon City, hundreds of people joined Filipino musicians in learning about concrete ways we can help lessen our impact on the environment. Offstage, we find out how musicians are doing their part to live more environmental lives 365 days a year.

The concert aims to inform, educate and campaign for people to be aware of the problems in the environment, said Lou Bonnevie, executive producer of Dimitri Productions, who spearheaded the concert together with the local government of Quezon City.
