EVERYONE was taken by surprise when the maiden issue of the
Philippine edition of Playboy magazine came out with former beauty
queen turned television host Miriam Quiambao on its cover.
I personally had to take a second look and make
sure that it was really Miriam when I got hold of a copy. For those
who have known Miriam since her Lingkod ng Panginoon days, and those
whom she charmed when she represented the country in the 1999 Miss
Universe, this big, bold leap came as more than a shock.
