Bradborn captures Asia-Pacific lawn bowl title

ROSITA BRADBORN proved Filipinos can also excel in an unfamiliar sport as she captured the ladies singles crown of the Third Asia-Pacific Indoor Lawn Bowl Championships on Thursday at the Bayuemas Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The 34-year-old Bradborn overcame pressure in the last bowl to score the winning shot in the finals over highly favored Malaysian Nor Hashima Ismael, 21-20, to win her first major title in nine years.
