Anti-HEROES

Wolfgang returns with an explosive new album ‘Villains’

If you ask Basti Artadi, Wolfgang never really broke up. They may have been out of the radar for a while now, but they’ve always stayed in the fringes of the music scene, ready to pounce back and shatter eardrums once more with their gut-busting, headbanging brand of hard-edged metal-rock. Artadi, Mon Legaspi and Manuel Legarda faced a battalion of press people last week to promote their two-date, two-city tour in support of their brand new release “Villains.” Fourth member Wolf Gemora was conspicuously absent, but according to Artadi, this was more because of scheduling conflict and priority concerns than any major infighting within the group. (Gemora is now focused on his other project, the California-based Lokomotiv). Frequent collaborator Francis Aquino, who also did most of the drum duties in the album, will be filling in on the show dates.
