Asian leaders set to tackle climate change, financial crisis |
|
Asia-Pacific leaders are set to meet in a high-level meeting to
counter the region’s food, energy and financial crisis as well as
climate change.
The forum, “The Regional Policy Dialogue on
Food-Fuel Crisis and Climate Change—Reshaping the Development
Agenda,” would gather policy-makers, finance experts, civil
society leaders, climate change specialists, private sector
entrepreneurs and agriculture innovators across Asia and the Pacific
in Denpasar, Indonesia from December 9 to 10, to discuss the
implications of the global financial meltdown on the region’s food
security.
