Dulaang UP’s ‘Atang’ and the UP Sarsuwela
Festival
|
|
As the year ends, greater opportunities are
given to theater audiences who would like to see various dramatic
genres, theatrical forms and types of performances in their favorite
metropolitan theater venues.
Theater companies nowadays promote not only
contemporary popular culture but also the classical works—such as
the sarsuwela. Dulaang UP has never forgotten to bring back
classical theatrical excitement from the four-cornered walls of
Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero Theater, Palma Hall.

The great dictator
|
|
The man was a dictator. He ruled the home with an iron and while his
wife rarely challenged his authority. The children were fearful of
him. They could not reason with him even if, as teenagers, they
often knew they were right.
