CA junks China firm’s NorthRail case |
|
THE Court of Appeals has junked the petition of a Chinese
construction firm that sought to dismiss the complaint filed by a
group of lawyers who wanted to the controversial NorthRail project
scrapped.
The Court of Appeals Fifth Division, in a
two-page resolution penned by Associate Justice Remedio
Salazar-Fernando, affirmed its earlier ruling on the case, saying
that the petitioner, China National Machinery Equipment Corp.,
raised no new arguments that would warrant the reversal of its
decision. The NorthRail project’s cost is $503 million.
