PRESIDENT Gloria Arroyo recently led officials from Pasig City in
the groundbreaking ceremonies for a four-story, 16-classroom
building in the Sta. Lucia High School.
Pasig City Rep. Roman Romulo and President
Arroyo led the ceremonies which were also graced by former city
mayor Vicente Eusebio, Education Secretary Jesli Lapus, Public Works
Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane and Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto
Romulo.
Romulo told reporters that they expect to
complete the new building before the end of the year, which will
help address the perennial problem of shortages in classrooms and
teaching facilities.
“We are truly grateful that President Arroyo
and Congressman Romulo made it possible for us to have these
additional classrooms constructed,” said Virginia Membrede,
principal of the Sta. Lucia High School.
Meanwhile, School Division Superintendent Dr.
Florentina Lizano and Pasig City School Principals together with
Romulo presented to the President a manifesto stating their sincere
gratitude and appreciation for her support.
