TAGUIG City, also called Global City, sealed its partnership with
the Philippine National Shooting Association (PNSA) Wednesday by
supporting shooting’s youth development program.
Chairman Nathaniel “Tac” Padilla signed the
memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Mayor Freddie Tinga, making
Taguig only the second city next to Tagaytay to boost the campaign
to develop future shooting champions.
Taguig will form a team for regional event on
May 30 to June 1 and the national youth championships on November 28
to December 1. Mayor Tinga’s daughter Kylie Danielle who loves the
sport will spearhead the team.
“I’m grateful to Mayor Tinga for heeding our
call to support our program,” said Padilla shortly after the MOA
signing.
PNSA President Art R. Macapagal also lauded
Mayor Tinga for including shooting in his city’s sports program.
“I’m sure the good mayor is aware that shooting is a sport where
Filipinos could develop into world-class performers,” Macapagal
said.
Padilla will hold a clinic in Taguig for boys
and girls aged 12 to 17 and local coaches.
