Controversy over dump operation ends |

Rodriguez assumes full control of its sanitary
landfill and implements prepayment scheme

RODRIGUEZ, Rizal: Mayor Pedro Cuerpo accepted on
Friday the termination of the sanitary landfill contract it has with
its contractor and will assume full control of the operations of the
facility within 48 hours thus ending a controversy that has raged
for months now.
In connection with these developments, Cuerpo
assured Metro Manila mayors and residents that there will be no
disruption in the operation of the landfill.
