Philippines misses
export growth goal
|

PHILIPPINE merchandise exports
last December grew at their fastest pace in ten months, but not
enough to attain the government’s target last year as a strong
peso and weak electronic shipments slowed expansion.
The National Statistics Office (NSO)
reported that exports last December jumped 21.4 percent to $4.478
billion from $3.690 billion in the same month in 2006.
