NGAP polls on March 28

THE National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) will hold its annual General Council Meeting and Biennial Elections on March 28 at the Manila Yacht Club on Roxas Boulevard, Manila.

NGAP President and DOTC Secretary Leandro Mendoza will make his report on the NGAP’s achievements the last two years and at the same time present the programs that the golf body should undertake in the future to sustain its gains.

The council will choose for 11 members of the board from where they will elect among themselves the president, vice-president, secretary-general, treasurer and auditor.

Deadline of submission of nominees is on February 18. All nominations must be in NGAP office by 5 p.m.

The NGAP also said the names of representatives to attend the meeting and vote on behalf of the club must be submitted on or before February 29, also at 5 p.m.

Only members who are updated in their payment of annual membership dues are eligible to send representatives and nominees.

For details, contact NGAP at 525-6987, 524-5160 or (fax) 521-1587.

The NGAP also announced that under the new policy on the payment of membership dues based on the amended by-laws, the fee is now P10,000 per 9 holes of the course.
