Sinning with the new Samsung phones

Samsung mobile unveiled their three new mobile phones, the SGH-D880, SGH-G800 and SGH-P520, in a high-fashion event dubbed as “Garden of Sins” on February 6 at the Manila Peninsula, Makati.

“Sleek, beautiful, and stylish, these phones are only made to please,” the press statement said.

The Samsung G800 can be mistaken for a real digital camera with its sliding lens and smooth and shiny casing. Equipped with a large 5-Megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom for photography and video capturing, the G800 also has antiblur, antishake, red-eye reduction and face detection features. In addition, the camera phone boasts a video editor, extended music player provided by technology from Bang and Olufsen, a built-in FM radio and mobile blogging.

“This is the ultimate in camera phone functionality,” a Samsung spokesman said.

On the other hand, the SGH-D880 model is Samsung’s dual-sim cell phone. A sophisticated slide-up mobile phone capable of handling two SIMs wherein both SIM cards can be used at the same time—a perfect replacement model for people carrying two mobile phones. The SGH-D880 has a 3-Megapixel camera, MP3 and MPEG4 support, FM Radio and Bluetooth v. 2.0 connection.

Lastly, the ultra-stylish Giorgio Armani signature phone P520 is the newest in Samsung’s mobile phone camp. Designed by the famed Italian designer, the P520 has a 2.6-inch QVGA TFT LCD screen, full touch-screen user interface, and an exclusive Giorgio Armani leather carrying case. Sleek as a credit card, the Armani phone has a 3-Megapixel camera, a music player and an Internet browser.
