Chief Justice junks JdV offer

Puno sees conflicts in  role of ‘moral’ leader


Supreme Court Chief Justice Reynato Puno on Tuesday turned down an invitation of ousted House Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. to sit as chairman of the so-called Council for Moral Revolution that the former top congressman had proposed.

The council supposedly will fight alleged corruption in the government of President Gloria Arroyo.
