For exceptional performance in 2007, Avon Philippines received the
much-coveted Star of Asia Award at the Avon Asia-Pacific Top 100
Conference in Hong Kong. The award, considered the highest and most
prestigious recognition among Avon companies in the region, paid
tribute to Avon Philippines’ leadership in sustained and
profitable growth and how it serves as an inspiring model for other
countries.
The Philippines also received two other awards:
the David H. McConnell Award for Brand Competitiveness in Skincare
and Color Growth for its high double-digit growth in the two
critical categories; and the Award for Commercial Edge-Active
Representative Growth for bringing the Avon business opportunity to
even more women. It was the first time in the history of the
regional awards that one country took home three trophies, a fitting
way to kick-off the company’s 30th anniversary in this year.
“Receiving the Star of Asia Award was the
proudest moment in my 30-year career with Avon,” relates Avon
Philippines president and general manager Bob Briddon. “This is a
fitting culmination to all the dedication, passion and hard work
that [everyone] did for Avon in 2007… This shows how strong we are
and, as we enter 2008, our success will continue to gather momentum.
I know we are capable of ever greater things in the coming years.”
