Search For Unsigned Talents Of Asia (SUTASI) finals

5 bands, 2 vocalists to compete in Bangkok

By Jude Bautista Contributor

THE Philippine team that will compete in the grand finals of the Search for Unsigned Talents of Asia (SUTASI) has been finalized. A total of five bands and two female solo performers will carry the country’s flag and hopefully add to the regional and international recognition that our musical artists have been doing for many years now.

After rounds of auditions, five local bands including Kadangyan, Cueshé, Tribe of Levi, Zelle and the Collie Herb reggae band have made the cut and secured slots for the finals to be held in Bangkok next month. Two Filipino vocalists, Alyssa Quijano and Jessa Mae Gabon are also set to compete in the solo category. They will be competing against representatives from Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam and the winners will then earn the right to represent Southeast Asia and compete against representatives from other parts of Asia in October.
