CEBU CITY: Cebu Capitol security consultant Byron
Garcia has formally asked organizers to let Cebu Provincial
Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) detainees dance during
the Sinulog on January 20, saying it is “something new to the
traditional Sinulog presentation.”
But Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña,
who is still on vacation in the United States, said he will not
allow the CPDRC inmates, known for their video dance of Michael
Jackson’s “Thriller” which was viewed close to 10 million
times on YouTube, to dance during the Sinulog, reported the
Philippine News Agency on Tuesday.
