decision to revert back the contested 144-hectare Sumilao estate in
Bukidnon under the coverage of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform
Program (CARP), some of its members expressed apprehension on the
order’s tenor and implications.

Bataan seeks to collect P1.7B from Petron

BALANGA City, Bataan: The provincial treasurer of Bataan on Friday
filed with the Supreme Court a petition for certiorari, prohibition
and mandamus against a Regional Trial Court judge to be able to
collect from Petron Corp. more than P1.7 billion in real property
taxes for the last 13 years.
