Robinsons Land to convert properties

GOKONGWEI owned Robinsons Land Corp. will convert two prime properties into office buildings for call centers and business process outsourcing, the company announced Tuesday.

RLC in a statement said it plans to develop about 40,000-square-meter lot occupied by the former Medical City on San Miguel Avenue, Mandaluyong City, and a 5,000-square-meter two-story call center building right beside the Robinsons Tacloban Mall in Leyte.

The company is also currently developing a fourth office building that it expects to complete in 2009 within the 1.8-hectare Robinsons Pioneer property, the former Robinsons Apartelle site.

“This building will have about 50,000 square meters spread out over 19 levels and is perfect for BPO or call-center operators as the typical floors shall again have a central elevator and utility core,” Henry Yap, Business Unit general manager, RLC Office Buildings Division said.

RLC is all set to turn over Robinsons Cybergate Tower 3 to its tenants for fit-out this January. Accenture, a global management consulting and technology service company, a major tenant in Robinsons Cybergate Towers 1 and 2, will occupy a substantial number of floors in the new Tower.

“Negotiations are also in the final stages for the pre-lease of the majority of the floors in Tower 3,” Yap said.

Robinsons Cybergate, which is ideally located within the Robinsons Pioneer Complex in Mandaluyong City, houses leading BPOs, call centers and telecommunication companies such as Sitel, Win Source, West Contact Service and Sun Cellular, to mention a few.
