The embers of the Baclaran fire
|
|
EMBERS continue to smolder on the site where the Baclaran fire
started a week ago. The smoke has not cleared. Costs are still being
counted. And the controversies the fire spawned continue to simmer.
Interior Secretary Ronaldo Puno and the public
are waiting for a final report from the Bureau of Fire Protection on
the fire that gutted a three-story shopping mall. While the report
that should explain how the fire started and how it was controlled
impends, other questions linger.
