NBI to probe anomalies in horseracing
|
|
THE Department of Justice (DOJ) has ordered the
National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to look into the alleged
mismanagement inside the Philippine Racing Commission (Philracom),
particularly the allegations made by Florencio Fianza, who headed
the commission until Tuesday.
In a one-page memorandum, Justice Secretary Raul
Gonzalez ordered NBI Director Nestor Mantaring to look deeper into
allegations made by Fianza against some officials inside the
Philracom, and to submit a report and recommendation in one week.
