‘Green courts’ strenghten implementation of
environmental laws
ALBAY Governor Joey Sarte Salceda urges the
Supreme Court to expedite the litigation of cases involving
ecological concerns by designating environmental appellate courts.
The appeal was made after the High Court created
117 environmental “green courts” to handle cases related to the
environment.
THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) assured that it
would complete on time work on a vital bridge that links Davao City
to nearby provinces in Eastern Mindanao.
SUBIC BAY Freeport: The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA)
announced that shipbuilder Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction
Co. is investing another $11.9 million for a research and
development firm.
