Don’t ignore Freedom House report–CHR |

Rights commissioner Soriano even believes the
international organization is credible and has integrity

HUMAN Rights Commissioner Wilhelm Soriano on
Friday said that the Philippine government should seriously take the
findings of Freedom House on the country’s democratic
situation, and analyze and study on how such findings can be able to
improve the country’s human rights situation.
Soriano said government should take the findings
of Freedom House seriously, so that by end of the year, the
democracy watchdog “can validate significant improvements and
eventually lift the Philippines’ ranking as human-rights
compliant.”
