Mayor Cuerpo to block operation of Gov. Ynares’
landfill and dares the latter to sue

RODRIGUEZ, Rizal: The war rages on between Gov.
Casimiro “Jun” Ynares 3rd of Rizal and Municipal Mayor
Pedro Cuerpo, as the latter vows to block the operation of the
19-hectare provincial landfill.
Cuerpo refused to
roll over and give the operation of the landfill solely to the Rizal
government, claiming that the provincial government should first
talk with his municipality and the residents that would be affected
by the operation before imposing any take over.
