DOTC pushes ‘broadband’ |
|
New name, new partners, same network project
|
|
Only a word distinguishes the new broadband
project being pushed by the Department of Transportation and
Communications (DOTC) from the controversial one that President
Gloria Arroyo scrapped last year for allegedly being tainted with
corruption.
The Transportation
department on Monday said the government is still keen on the
implementation of a broadband network that will cover the entire
country, this time through the Government Broadband Network project.
What President Arroyo cancelled was the National Broadband Network
project.
