Customs authorities foil 
cell-phone smuggling try

The contents were declared as communication 
equipment and the owner paid only P48,000


SUBIC BAY Freeport: Three boxes full of different cellular phone units were put on hold for alleged misdeclaration at the Subic Bay International Airport Friday afternoon.

Manila Times sources said the boxes containing the said cell phones were on board a FedEx flight, adding that these were declared only as communication equipment and that the owner only paid P48,000.
