Senators upset at Lozada, Neri for snubbing hearing
|
|
The Senate blue-ribbon committee ordered Wednesday the arrest of
former socio-economic planning Secretary Romulo Neri and government
executive Rodolfo Lozada Jr.
In an open hearing broadcast live over radio and
cable television, the senators said the arrest was ordered because
Neri and Lozada ignored their subpoena when they failed to attend
the hearing on the aborted $330-million National Broadband Network
project awarded to China’s ZTE Corp.
