MARIVELES, Bataan: Police arrested four suspects who robbed a police
officer of his service firearm and other belongings in his residence
in Mariveles town at dawn of Monday.
Senior Supt. Manuel Gaerlan, Bataan police
director, identified the suspects as Jake Sambrono, 22, alleged
Akyat Bahay gang leader; Alexander Dial, 24; July Ortiz, 27 and Bong
dela Cruz, 23; all of Mariveles.
The victim, Senior Police Officer 1 Nicholas
Mallari of the Mariveles police, reported that the Akyat Bahay group
stole from their house at 1 a.m. his 9 mm Piettro Berreta pistol,
three magazine-full ammunition, two cellphones, police ID, watches,
motorcycle keys and other documents.
As soon as the suspects left, SPO1 Mallari
reported the incident to their police station. With the help of
neighbors who recognized the robbers, police collared the suspects
before they could leave town.
Recovered during their arrest were the stolen
items. Also, found in the possession of the suspects were ten pieces
of plastic sachet allegedly containing shabu.
Suspects are under the custody of Mariveles MPS
while charges of robbery with force upon things are being readied
against them, police information officer Insp. Dennis Orbista said.
