MICHAEL DIMALANTA and Elizabeth Stern topped their
respective events Sunday in the 2008 Philippine National
Championship Figure Skating at SM Mall of Asia International Skating
Rink.
Other winners in the tournament
sanctioned by the Philippine Skating Union were Alyssa Kate Comia,
Jules Vince Alpe, Janelle Santos, Paulina Michelle Ong and Katherine
Dano.
Comia ruled the ladies’ class
while Alpe won the men’s category in the juvenile event.
Santos dominated the intermediate
level, Ong won the novice level and Dano bagged the junior ladies
title.
A total of 23 skaters, including
five Fil-Americans, took part in the event organized by SM with
support from Pepsi, Power Mac Center, Mossimo and Philippine Star.
