BARANGAY Ginebra tries to stay in the hunt for the last outright
semis berth when it tackles eliminated Welcoat at 4:50 p.m. Friday
in the 2008 Smart-PBA Fiesta Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Gin Kings, sporting an 8-8 record, must
sweep their last two games and pray that the Red Bull Barakos drop
their last two assignments.
The Dragons, hoping for a graceful exit and has
yet to improve on its standings since it joined the league in 2006,
will face tough competition against the Gin Kings, who are riding on
a three-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, second seed Red Bull goes for an
outright semis berth against Talk ‘N Text, which is trying to
avoid the wildcard phase, at 7:20 p.m.
